The Latvian authorities struck the Republic of Moldova off the list of third countries with an increased epidemiological risk, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, which makes reference to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Riga.
In accordance with the decision, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova can enter Latvia if they have been vaccinated and have a vaccine certificate issued by an EU member state. In this case, a test for COVID-19 does not need to be done before setting off and self-isolation is not required when entering Latvia.
The unvaccinated Moldovans can enter Latvia if they mandatorily do a PCR test 72 hours before the journey or an antigen test 24 hours before entering Latvia and have a negative result. In this case, self-isolation is not necessary.
All the persons who travel to Latvia must fill out an electronic form not earlier than 48 hours before entering the country and must provide the required information about vaccination, testing and recovery after having COVID-19.
