Moldovans can apply for about 800 unfilled places at Romanian universities

The Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport of Romania has announced a new admission session to universities for Moldovan young people to fill the 778 places that remained vacant after the first session, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau says the additional session will take place during September 6-10. 250 places of the total number are available for graduates holding Baccalaureate diplomas issued in Romania, while 528 – for graduates holding Baccalaureate diplomas issued in Moldova, including 58 places with scholarship and 470 places without scholarship. The applicants who submitted the documents to one of the Romanian consulates general in Cahul, Chisinau and Balti during July 21 – 31, but did not find themselves on the preliminary list of admitted Moldovan citizens published on www.edu.ro, can apply again for the available places by writing an application. The email addresses to which the applications can be sent and any other details about the second admission session can be found on the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sport’s website (www.edu.ro) Admission to the branches in Moldova of Romanian universities will take place in the same period, September 6-10. The applications for the Cahul branch of the “Lower Danube” University of Galati can be left at the Cahul-based University “B.P. Hasdeu” from 9.00 until 15.30, while for the Balti branch of the Iasi-based University “Al.I.Cuza” – at the consulate general in Balti from 8.30 until 16.30.
