Although every third Moldovan does not have an own house, every fourth still washes by hand, and one in six Moldovans does not have a color TV set, more than a half of the country’s citizens think they are happy. 14% of the interviewed have said they are absolutely happy, 28% - not so happy, and 4% - unhappy. These data a contained in a sociological research on the situation of Moldovan households during the middle term, carried out by IDIS "Viitorul", with the support of the UNICEF office in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. The poll shows that only 42% of the respondents can afford a mobile phone. In villages, this figure is even lower (33%). Only 13% of the interviewees affirmatively answered whether they have a personal computer, as only 7.2% of villagers have one. About 25% of the respondents said they have never spent their vacation with their family outside their household, while others 22% have said they go to resorts regularly. Asked what factors and how much influence their families, 59% answered it is the price growth. 28% answered they were not happy with the way the medicare system worked, as 19% are worried about crime and public order. 57% of the poll interviewed have said they spend everything they got lately. 11% have said they spent all the salary and savings. 16% spent even their savings and even borrowed money. Only 8% said they saved money. At the same time, 23% of Moldovans have bought no new apparel or footwear for the last 12 months. 18% have not bought their prescribed medicines, as 26 per cent eat meat and once a month or even rarer. The poll has been carried on 1,119 citizens aged from 18 to 60. The error margin does not exceed 3%.
