The Moldovans, Turks and Chinese are the most numerous legal immigrants recorded in Romania last year, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to agency “Act Media”, which quotes an analysis by the Romanian Immigration Office, the highest number of foreign nationals recorded in 2010 as legally staying in Romania were from Moldova (17,494), Turkey (8,969) and China (7,049). Over 15,000 visa applications were filed with the Romanian diplomatic missions based outside the country, the Office's analysis revealed. As many as 3,783 illegal immigrants were found in Romania last year, down 25% on 2009, when 5,045 illegal foreigners were tracked down.
