Moldovan young people can file applications to study in Romania from July 18

Those who want can file applications to continue their studies in Romania starting with July 18, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca announced in a news conference on July 1, IPN reports.

Marius Lazurca said that starting with this date, a Romanian special commission during two weeks will receive applications from young people who want to study in Romania. During the first four days, the commission will accept applications at the Romanian Consulate in Balti, between July 23 and July 27 - at the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau, while between July 29 and July 30 – at the Romanian Consulate in Cahul.

“I urge the young people not to queue up during the first days. Those who will not manage to file the documents in Balti, will be able to do it in Chisinau or in Cahul. There are no restrictions by the geographic criterion and admission to studies does not depend on the day when the application is submitted,” stated Lazurca.

The Government of Romania this year offers the Moldovan young people 5,000 places to study at Romanian education institutions. According to the ambassador, 1,500 places are provided for continuing the high school studies in Romania, 2,800 places to study for a bachelor’s degree at universities, 550 places to study for a master’s degree, 125 places to study for a doctor’s degree, while 25 places are intended for graduates of medical institutions. The beneficiaries will be provided with accommodation, while a part of them will receive a monthly scholarship of €65. The education costs will be fully covered by the Romanian state.
