A 25-year-old man was sentenced to 8 years in jail for recruiting a woman from Ialoveni for sexual exploitation in Cyprus, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the man gave the woman enough money for her to obtain the necessary papers, promising a well-paid job in a restaurant in Greece. After arriving to Cyprus, between June 2008 and January 2009, the woman underwent sexual exploitation in a cabaret in the city of Larnaca. The sentence is appealable.
