Moldovan woman injured in Italian quake remains in coma

The 27-year-old Moldovan woman that was injured in the earthquake in Italy remains in coma. Her backbone is fractured, the Moldovan consul in Italy Ion Surugiu has told Info-Prim Neo. One of the twin daughters of the woman aged 4 remains the only Moldovan killed in the quake. The second girl, who was hospitalized in a serious condition, is now better. Ion Surugiu also said that the Moldovan authorities do not need to intervene yet as the Italian doctors provide services to all the victims regardless of their nationality, even if they do not have health insurance. A 6.3-magnitude quake struck central Italy early Monday morning, being followed by numerous aftershocks. Apulia city, the capital of Abruzzo region, was the worst hit. The death toll rises to 260. The funerals will take place on Friday.
