Moldovan Wine Week to be held in Warsaw
The Moldovan Wine Week will take place in the Polish capital Warsaw between June 17 and 20, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the program, the event will open with the presentation of Moldova's wine-making sector in the Big Hall of the Library of the Warsaw Agricultural University A tasting event will follow. There will be also presented a number of tourist routes, including the Wine Road in Moldova.
Tasting events will be held in the pavilions set up by Moldovan winemakers on Novyi Svit St, in one of the most picturesque areas of Warsaw. There will be exhibited wine products made by the 20 specialized companies of Moldova.
The residents of the city will be able to familiarize themselves with the Moldovan folklore. Famous artistic groups from Moldova will perform on improvised stages during the week.
The exports of Moldovan alcoholic products to Poland over the first four months of this year totaled US$3.38 million. The exported quantities were much larger than those sold in other EU member states.
