Moldovan wine exports brought in $111 million last year

The European Union was the main destination of Moldovan wine exports in 2023, with 45% of the total. Another 29% went to other countries of the world, and 26% to CIS countries. Last year, Moldovan wine exports brought more than $111 million to the country.

According to Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba, exports increased by 8.6% in the first 10 months of 2023 compared to the similar period last year.

The biggest importer of Moldovan wine was Romania with 23%, followed by Georgia with 8%, and Poland with 6.2%. 6% of Moldovan wine exports went to the Czech Republic, 3.4% to the United Kingdom, and 2.8% to the Netherlands.

Wines made in Moldova were also consumed in the United States, Canada, China and other countries.
