The University of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) is the first institution in our country to receive the HR Excellence in Research Award from the European Commission. According to ASM, this certificate is proves the European Commission's recognition that the practices and regulations of the ASM University are in accordance with the European values of ethics, freedom, transparency and other principles stipulated in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, IPN reports.

Maria Duca, provost of the university, stressed that the award will boost the institution's international reputation and its trustworthiness in the eyes of foreign partners. The Excellence in Research Logo promotes the national research system to the European Research Area, increasing the university's credibility on the European research market. This way, the ASM University can become an attractive destination for foreign researchers and for the scientific diaspora. This is also a good tool to assess the situation within the university and its development.

So far, only 120 universities and research institutions in the European Union can display the HR Excellence in Research Logo, a right granted by the European Commission only after a lengthy and complex assessment.
