Moldovan-Ukrainian consultations in Kiev

The demarcation of the border between Moldova and Ukraine and the resumption of the work of the intergovernmental economic cooperation commission were the major topics for discussion at the Moldovan-Ukrainian consultations between deputy foreign ministers held recently in Kiev. Moldova was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Popov, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The consultations also centered on the annulment of the financial guarantees needed by the Moldovan citizens who cross the Ukrainian border. The given practice was suspended at the request of the Moldovan authorities. The deputy foreign ministers also discussed the trilateral cooperation between Moldova, Ukraine and the EU, including within the Eastern Partnership.
