Moldovan-Ukrainian commission on border demarcation to meet in late October
The joint Moldovan-Ukrainian commission will meet in late October to discuss and decide on demarcation between Moldova and Ukraine in the so-called problematic zone, the Transnistrian region, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Ukrainian Embassy in Chisinau.
Last week, a task-force of the joint commission undertook a field trip, accompanied by representatives of the Transnistrian region, of the EUBAM mission and of the Odessa region.
The sides analyzed the proposals of the Transnistrian region on the border demarcation. The decisions will be made at the next meeting of the commission.
The representatives of the Transnistrian region have been invited to attend the meetings of the commission and of its bodies. The Ukrainian Embassy confirms that as a result of these actions the sides agreed to actively continue the works of joint border demarcation.
