Moldovan-Turkish political consultations held in Chisinau
Moldovan-Turkish political consultations took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova on April 23, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry.
The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriu Ostalep and Undersecretary of State of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Ünal Çeviköz.
The agenda of the meeting included a wide range of topics of bilateral interest, especially economic issues, the relations of the two states with the European institutions, regional cooperation and international security.
The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in consular matters and in combating of trafficking in human beings.
The Moldovan deputy minister thanked the Turkish authorities for the financial assistance offered, including for setting up the Call Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, which would help solve urgent problems faced by the Moldovans from abroad.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of developing and diversifying the commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, Turkey being an important business partner of Moldova.
On April 24, the Turkish delegation will go to Comrat on a fact-finding visit.
