The Moldovan teams found out the first rivals at the European Cups this season. The draw was held at the head office of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) in Nyon, Switzerland, on June 24, IPN reports.

In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, Sheriff Tiraspol will play against the best team of Montenegro – FK Sutjeska. The first leg match will be played in Tiraspol on July 16 or 17, while the return match abroad on July 23 or 24.

In Europa League, Moldova is represented by three teams. In the first qualifying round on July 4 and July 11, Dacia Chisinau will meet Albania’s KS Teuta, Milsami Orhei - Dudelande Luxemburg, while the holder of Moldova’s Cup FC Tiraspol - Skonto Riga Latvia.

The best accomplishment among the Moldovan teams in the interclub competitions was achieved by Sheriff Tiraspol that played in the Europa League groups in 2009 and 2010.
