Moldovan team returns without medals from U23 European Judo Championships

The national judo team failed to win any medals at the U23 European Judo Championships that ended on Sunday in the Czech capital, Prague, Info-Prim Neo reports. The best result was obtained by Vadim Bocan, who occupied the 7th place in the 73 kg weight category, with two victories and two defeats. The other Moldovan judokas were eliminated in the first preliminary rounds: Gheorghe Coslet and Artiom Nacu in the 60 kg category, Eugeniu Vreme (66 kg), Igor Soroca (73 kg), Eugen Coreac, Valeriu Chisca (both 90 kg) and Moldova’s only female representative Tatiana Osoianu (48 kg). The competition in the Czech Republic brought together 362 athletes from 38 countries.
