Moldovan students may have free access to Microsoft products

Microsoft and the Ministry of Education of Moldova on March 31 will sign a strategic partnership agreement, Microsoft Romania manager general Calin Tatomir announced at the Moldova ICT Summit 2010 taking place in Chisinau on March 30 and 31, Info-Prim Neo reports. Calin Tatomir said Microsoft established partnerships with many countries and provides access to its products, know-how, training seminars for students and teachers under them. “The students in Moldova will probably have free access to the Microsoft technology this year,” he said. Microsoft will also propose an interesting program intended for companies that enter the market. These companies will have free access to all Microsoft products. Calin Tatomir said that Microsoft invests US$9.5 billion a year in research, development and education. He welcomed the fact that in its development strategies Moldova pays special attention to the implementation of information technologies, including in education. He said Microsoft is ready to offer support to Moldova. Microsoft, the National Association of Private IT Companies of Moldova and USAID organized the Moldova ICT Summit 2010 in concert.
