Moldovan students get acquainted with German employers

Moldovan students learning German had the possibility of getting acquainted with German employers during a public meeting on March 18. The event themed “Professional Orientation Day” was attended by students from several universities, Info-Prim Neo reports. Julia Kahrl, deputy head of the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau, stated for Info-Prim Neo that the students could put different questions about a job to German entrepreneurs running businesses in Moldova. She voiced hope that the event will be held yearly. Aliona Lisnic, senior lecturer at the Free International University (ULIM), said the Professional Orientation Day was organized in Moldova for the first time. “We hope that it will be a useful day to the students,” she stated, adding students from ULIM, the Teacher Training University “Ion Creanga”, the State University “Alecu Russo” of Balti, and from the Tiraspol State University took part in the event. The students approved of such an activity. Natalia, a foreign language student of “Ion Creanga” University, said such meetings are very useful, especially to last-year students who are looking for a job. Iuliana, a first-year student of ULIM, said the event looked interesting to her as everyone was speaking German and she could test her knowledge of the language. The event “Professional Orientation Day” was organized by the Free International University of Moldova in cooperation with the Embassy of Germany.
