Moldovan students accepted for studies in Romania risk being late for courses

The Moldovan Student Organisation requested the Romanian authorities to issue urgently the ordinance regarding the approval of the Moldovan candidates accepted for studies in Romania and warns about the risk of being late for courses. The Moldovan Student Organisation (OSB) sent a message concerning this matter to the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Youth, to the Presidential Office and to the relevant commissions in the House of Deputies and Romanian Senate. The request is signed by the OSB President, Sergiu Bucsa, and signals the fact that even though there are only two weeks left before the beginning of the academic year, the Moldovan candidates haven’t yet received the admission results. The delay represents a problem because the Moldovan students need visas for Romania, which can only be issued after the ordinance on the accepted candidates is approved; however, obtaining visas at the Romanian Consulate in Chisinau can last more than a month. Previously, OSB already warned the responsible persons in the Ministry of Education and Research in Bucharest about the situation of the future Moldovan students, but hasn’t received any answer. OSB is a student organisation founded in 2001 and aimed at strengthening and supporting the Moldovan community enrolled in Romanian universities.
