Moldovan Student Organisation says Moldovan nationals accepted for studies in Romania have no chances to arrive on time for classes
The Moldovan Student Organisation (OSB) says Moldovan nationals accepted for studies in Romania have no chances to arrive on time for classes.
A communiqué signed by the president of the organization, Sergiu Bucsa and OSB leader in Bucharest, Vladislav Durnea, mentions that the complete final list of students admitted to studies is not yet transmitted to the Romanian Consulate in Chisinau, even though only 4 days are left until the beginning of the study year.
OSB is revolted by the lack of transparency and professionalism of the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) in Bucharest. According to the organization, many applicants don’t find their names on any of the 4 lists; some of the candidates were written down on both the list of admitted and rejected students, while others are admitted with both a contract fee and a budget scholarship. Some of the students are admitted to faculty departments for which they didn’t even apply.
The final results of the admission haven’t yet been published; the lists of admitted students to private faculties are absent on the MEC’s website and at the Romanian Consulate in Chisinau, the communiqué says.
Representatives of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau told Info-Prim Neo that the lists have arrived at the consular section and that the students can submit the documents for visas until October 1. The representatives have requested the Embassy a written official confirmation.
Previously, OSB sent a letter to the Romanian Minister of Education and Research, Cristian Adomnitei, in which it expressed its concern about the delay in publishing the list of Moldovan students admitted to studies in Romania, as well as its request for an immediate publishing of the admission results.
