Service members of the National Army this week are taking part in the activities staged by the Embassy of Romania in Moldova to celebrate the Romanian Armed Forces Day. On October 24 and 25, Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru and National Army Commander, Brigade General Igor Cutie, together with officials of the Embassy of Romania and representatives of the local public authorities, laid flowers at the Cemetery of Honor of Romanian Heroes in Micleuseni village of Straseni village and at the Cemetery of Heroes in Chisinau, IPN reports.
On October 26, the Center of Military Culture and History will host the exhibition “Military priests in World War I” that will be mounted by the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu”.
The Armed Forces Day festivities involve officers of the guard and protocol unit of the Ministry of Defense and the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova.
