A Moldovan man was seriously injured during an Israeli attack on a United Nations compound in Gaza on March 19, the UN noted in a statement, quoted by IPN.
The document says the strikes hitting the UN compound were caused by an Israeli tank and claimed the life of a UN colleague from Bulgaria and left six others – from France, Moldova, North Macedonia, Palestine and the United Kingdom – with severe injuries, some of them life-altering.
According to the UN, the location of this UN compound was well known to the parties to the conflict. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned these strikes and demanded a full, thorough and independent investigation on this incident.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova has not yet presented information about the Moldovan during the attacks in Gaza.
