Moldovan students, PhD. students, university professors and researchers can benefit from scholarships in the Slovak Republic, within the frameworks of the National Scholarship Programme, announced by the Slovak Ministry of Education. The programme provides partial scholarship for Master study in Slovakian universities for a period of 5 to 10 months. Also, as part of the programme, Moldovan PhD. students can study from 1 to 12 months in Slovakian universities and research institutes. University professors and researchers will be able to teach or research at Slovak universities, research institutes or nongovernmental institutions. The amount of monthly scholarships offered by the Slovak Ministry of Education ranges from SKK 7,000 for students up to SKK 30,000 for senior researchers (1 euro = 34 SKK). Interested persons are invited to submit their applications on-line at www.scholarships.sk. Also, originals of additional documents should be sent by mail and received by the deadline at the Slovak Academic Information Agency. Application deadline for the summer semester 2007-2008 is November 15, 2007, for academic year 2008-2009 - April 30, 2008, and for summer semester 2008-2009 - October 31, 2008.
