The improvement is a result of Moldova’s 28-15 victory against Germany, on April 2. The game was played in Group 1B of the European Nations Cup. Moreover, the win consolidated the Moldovan team's position as leaders of the group and they are now favorites to gain promotion to the European rugby elite. After 4 games, Moldova obtained 14 points, followed by Belgium with 13, the Czech Republic - 12, Poland - 9, Germany - 7 and Netherlands with 0 points. Moldova will next face bottom side Netherlands on home soil, on April 30.
