Moldovan President promulgates 2009 State Budget Law
Moldova’s President Vladimir Voronin signed Friday (Dec. 5) a decree to promulgate the State Budget Law for 2009, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The State Budget Law received Parliament’s final endorsement on November 21.
Incomes for 2009 at all categories are projected to constitute 17.73 billion lei, which is by 21 percent or 3 billion lei more than the amount for this year. The increase is expected to be generated by larger revenues from VAT, excises, road taxes, customs taxes, taxes on personal income, taxes for vine-growing, additional dividends from government-owned companies, etc.
The 2009 Budget’s expenditures are estimated at 18.3 billion lei, up 23 percent on the previous year. The total deficit will constitute 573.8 million lei and will be compensated by government borrowing and proceeds from privatization and sale of public property.
