Moldovan president and Macedonian speaker support establishment of stronger relations between the legislatives of both countries
During the meeting of the president of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, with the chairman of the parliament of Macedonia, Liupcio Jordanovski, there were discussed different possibilities to fasten the inter-parliamentary cooperation, being highlighted the importance of setting stronger relations between the legislatives of both countries in order to strengthen Moldovan-Macedonian relations, according to parliament service report.
The role of parliaments in the process of joining EU also was discussed, the latter ones having the task to harmonise the national legislation to community’s standards.
In this context, Vladimir Voronin congratulated Macedonian authorities with getting the status of candidate country to join EU, and Liupcio Jordanovski reiterated the availability of authorities of Skopje to share its experience related to this item with the legislative of Chisinau.
During the meeting it was done an opinion and information exchange on the activity of parliaments and on differences of political systems of states, the parliament report noted.
