The International Organization for Migration in Moldova handed over to the General Inspectorate of Police 40 rugged tablets to enhance the Mobile Police Units’ operational resources and information exchange capacity, especially those deployed in border regions that predominantly host migrants and refugees in their communities.

“This new equipment will boost Mobile Police Units’ ability to access and input databases in real-time, as well as perform quick verifications, improving public safety and security”, se IOM Moldova said in a press release.

According to the international organization, this donation was made possible with the generous financial support of the Government of Canada.
