Moldovan Parliament’s Days in Russia to take place Dec. 15-21

The Moldovan Parliament’s Days in Saint Petersburg and in Leningrad Oblast will be held on December 15-21. An event titled “Winter Traditions in Moldova” will be staged under the aegis of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

The event will include the mounting of an exhibition of photographs centering on the 30th anniversary of the Moldovan legislative body and a thematic exhibition with works by plastic artists from the Republic of Moldova and St. Petersburg. The most active compatriots will be awarded.

According to the Standing Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova to the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations Ion Lipciu, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly, in the event Moldovan compatriots dressed in national costumes with traditional elements such as bells and bulls will sing carols for the members of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast.

The events will end with an official reception at the Tauride Palace on December 21. This will involve about 300 invitees, such as members of the local administration, representatives of the diplomatic copse, business community and civil society and personalities from the fields of culture and science. The guests will be able to taste traditional Moldovan dishes and to drink Moldovan wine in a holiday atmosphere with national specific features.
