Moldovan parliamentary delegation visits Bucharest
A delegation of the Parliament of Moldova headed by the chairman of the commission for foreign policy and European integration Igor Corman, of the Democratic Party, is paying an official visit to Romania between February 7 and 10, at the invitation of the commission for foreign affairs of the Romanian Senate, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Parliament's press office.
The delegation also includes MPs Boris Vieru, of the Liberal Party, Vasile Balan, of the Moldova Noastra Alliance, Ion Butmalai, of the Liberal Democratic Party, and Grigore Petrenko, of the Communists Party.
The parliamentary delegation will have meetings with the president of the Senate Mircea Geoana, chairman of the Senate's commission for foreign affairs Titus Corlatean, chairman of the parliamentary commission for European affairs Viorel Hrebenciuc, chairman of the foreign policy commission of the Chamber of Deputies Attilla Karodi and Romanian Foreign Minister Theodor Baconski as well as with representatives of the presidential administration and the Department for European Affairs of the Government of Romania. The meetings will center on the bilateral interparliamentary cooperation, especially as regards Moldova's European aspirations.
