Moldovan parliamentary delegation attending meeting of CIS IPA

A delegation of Moldova’s Parliament is taking part in the 41st plenary meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) that is held in Russia’s Saint Petersburg on November 26-28, IPN reports, quoting the legislative body’s press service.

In the plenary meeting, the MPs will examine about 20 draft model legislative acts in economy, education, healthcare, tourism, local public administration and information security. This meeting will be preceded by meetings of the CIS IPA Council and the standing commissions. The discussions will center on the activities carried out within the CIS IPA in 2014, the approved documents and the plan of action for the next period.

The delegation consists of the head of the commission on culture, education, mass media and sport Chiril Lucinschi, who heads Moldova’s delegation to the CIS IPA, the head of the commission on national security, defense and public order Alexandru Stoianoglo, and the member of the commission on human rights and interethnic relations Petru Vlah. The MPs will also take part in the international conference “Prospects of modifying and complementing the legislation on the public-private partnership in the CIS states”.
