It is only two days left until the start of the Winter Olympic Games. On February 5, Moldova’s representatives at the Sochi Olympics - Alexandra Camenshchik, Victor Pinzaru and Georg Lindner – left for the Russian city. The fourth representative of the Moldovan Olympic team Bogdan Macovei is already in Sochi, IPN reports.
Camenshchik and Pinzaru hope to finish the skiing competition close to the first ten. National team coach Petru Bria is not as optimistic. “We cannot dream of finishing among the top ten. We cannot hope for such wonders,” Bria told the journalists.
Bogdan Macovei is also confident of his forces. The naturalized Romanian will compete in sledging. “I feel very well. I had a good training program and I hope I will not disappoint the National Olympic Committee,” he stated.
Moldova’s national flag at the Sochi Olympics will be carried by Victor Pinzaru. The Games will take place between February 7 and 23.
