The K-1 wrestlers who represented Moldova at the international competition Tuzla Juniors Cup in Romania won three gold medals and three silver medals, Nicolae Pascaru, head of the Wrestling Federation “Voievod”, told a news conference on July 29, quoted by IPN.

It was a professional kickboxing gala. Three Moldovan athletes competed against three athletes from Romania in the over 60 kg, 70 kg and 75 kg classes. The wrestlers of “Voievod” Valentin Pascali, Dumitru Sevastian and Nicolae Garbuz won golds.

“The competition included also a tournament in which our juniors took part. These managed to win three silver medals. We knew that our athletes are well-trained, but the results exceeded our expectations,” stated Pascaru.

The next K-1 gala will take place in Chisinau in August.
