Moldovan judo players suffer first defeats at European Champs

The Moldovan athletes made a bad start at the European Judo Championships in Vienna. Octavian Nacu (60 kg class) and Victor Scvortsov (66 kg) were eliminated in the preliminary round, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the first fights of the preliminary round, Octavian Nacu and Victor Scvortsov beat Bulgaria's Ianislav Gercev and Portugal's Diogo Cesar, but were defeated then by Armenia's Hovanes Davtian and France's Loic Korval and were knocked out. Marcel Trudov (73 kg) and Sergiu Toma (81 kg) enter the competition today, April 23. More than 300 athletes from 44 countries are taking part in the European Judo Championships in Austria.
