The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made public the accreditation terms for the foreign journalists willing to cover the presidential impeachment referendum, which will be held in Romania on May 19. The foreign media representatives who have a valid reporting license, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will send to the Communication Department only the accreditation form at acreditar@mae.ro. The foreign reporters whose license expires in short time are asked to get in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to prolong its validity. For the foreign media representatives who do not have a license issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the necessary documents are: the accreditation letter of the media institution, written in English or French and sent to the Communication Department. This address will confirm the fact that the journalist is employed at the institution as correspondent in Romania during the referendum. The letter shall bear the original header, the signature of the director, dated and stamped. In the case of freelance journalists, they will present accreditation solicitations from at least one media institution or from the administration board of the professional association they are part of. The accreditation form shall be submitted to acreditare@mae.ro, together with the digitalised passport photo, and the name_surname_media. The foreign journalist who do not have the license issued by the MFA will sent to the Communication Department the rest of the documents necessary for the accreditation via e-mail or fax: +4021.319.21.95, +4021.319.21.45.
