Moldovan journalists pay visit to Romania
In the period from February 26 to March 3, a group of 12 journalists from Moldova, members of the “European Reporter” network, are on a fact-finding visit to Romania.
According to a press release from the Association of Independent Press (API), during the visit, Moldovan journalists are to establish cooperation ties with their colleagues on the other bank of the Prut River, who are specialised in reflecting European issues and to inform first hand about the stages experienced by Romania in its European integration process. Journalists will visit The European Institute in Romania, “InfoEuropa” Centre, the office of the national newspaper “Cotidianul”, of the “EurActiv” portal, and “Club 27” TV show at TVR1. The members of the network will also meet MEP Vasile Puscas, Romania’s former Chief Negotiator to the European Union.
During the visit, API in cooperation with “eRomania Gateway” Association will organise a one-day training in Bucharest for Moldovan journalists on the topic “The Impact of European Policies on the Potential EU Members”.
“The European Reporter” network has been created by API in early February. The network meets 12 local mass-media journalists who will be specialised in writing articles and making reports on the topics related to the European integration process on the whole and the implementation of the EU-Moldova Action Plan, in particular.
“The European Reporter” project is implemented by API with the support of Soros Moldova Foundation within the European Initiative Programme.
