An agreement on the mutual recognition of study documents between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Republic of Italy was signed in Chisinau, IPN reports.
By this international treaty, the procedure for the mutual recognition of higher education diplomas of the two states will be facilitated. This will ensure the visibility of the national education system on the international arena and will facilitate access to studies at higher education establishments in the two countries, the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova noted in a press release.
The signed agreement will ensure the recognition and equaling of study documents obtained in higher education, starting with bachelor’s degree studies and continuing with master’s degree studies. It regulates the mutual recognition of the periods and study documents for the purpose of ensuring common access and the continuation of studies in higher education institutions of the two countries.
“The Ministry of Education and Research welcomes the signing of such agreements given that they significantly extend the horizons of academic and scientific cooperation. The mutual recognition of study documents with different states stimulates the quality of training, motivating the higher education establishments to take part in the process of internationalizing and adjusting the programs of study to the European standards,” Ministry of Education and Research Anatolie Topală said on the occasion of the signing of the agreement.
