Moldovan investigated for trafficking in children extradited from Czech Republic

A Moldovan aged 36, who had been wanted since 2019 in connection with trafficking in children and human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation, was extradited from the Czech Republic, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, in 2018 the culprit, on the pretext of offering a job as a babysitter, recruited two women aged 25 and 17 and housed them in an apartment in the municipality of Chisina. Later, the girls were forced to provide sexual services for money to different clients.

After he was extradited from the Czech Republic, the culprit was taken to the remind prison of the Chisinau Police Division. He faces 15 to 20 years behind bars.
