A citizen of Moldova is investigated for smuggling large amounts of foreign currency. He was remanded in custody for 72 hours, IPN reports.
About 1.5 million Ukrainian hrivnas, 246,000 Russian rubles and over 8 kg of caviar were found in his vehicle by Customs Service employees. The man was arrested in Anenii Noi town. He faces three to ten years in jail for smuggling.
