In the last months, the Government of the Republic of Moldova organized 14 actions of promoting Moldovan wine products in different countries where exhibitions and presentations were especially organized. These numbers were presented during a session announced by prime-minister Vasile Tarlev at which decision factors from Government participated. The minister of Economy and Commerce, Valeriu Lazar, declared that for each country where Moldova intends to extend its presence in the wine products sector special groups were created, responsible being nominated the leaders of ministries and agencies. The minister specified that the undertaken actions had a positive effect for the immediate period, being registered an increase of the exports to those countries. Meanwhile, he mentioned that in order to assure a durable presence on the respective markets it is necessary to define special promotion programs. Vasile Tarlev declared that nevertheless the Republic of Moldova must not give up the traditional markets of selling all local products, consolidation actions being necessary in those countries. The prime- minister was for continuing the efficient actions of promoting Moldovan wines on foreign markets and requested the cancellation of all export interdictions for alcoholic products from the Republic of Moldova.
