Moldovan Government delegation meets with European Commissioners in Brussels

A delegation of the Government of Moldova has a meeting with members of the European Commission in Brussels on May 15. In the meeting, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso will discuss Moldova’s European agenda and the preparations for the signing of the Association Agreement, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Government, the discussions will also center on the reforms under implementation in Moldova and the country’s efforts to diversify the energy sources.

The Moldovan delegation includes Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman, Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim, Minister of Agriculture Vasile Bumacov, and Minister of Finance Anatol Arapu.

The meeting will also involve European Commissioners Dacian Ciolos, Stefan Fule, Karel De Gucht, Kristalina Georgieva, Tonio Borg, and Maria Damanaki.

After the meeting, Iurie Leanca and Jose Manuel Barroso will give a joint news conference.
