A Moldovan-German Forum that aims to become a platform for developing the relations between Moldova and Germany in different areas was set up in the German capital of Berlin, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova. The meeting to constitute the Forum took place at the Bundestag on March 26. The Forum’s major objective is to facilitate Moldova’s European integration. Under the statute, the Moldovan-German Forum will promote a better understanding of Germany in Moldova and of Moldova in Germany, contributing thus to improved Moldovan-German relations. The Administration Board of the Forum includes German MPs that represent most of the political forces in the Bundestag. MP Manfred Grund, a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs in charge of the relations with Moldova, was named the Forum’s president. The Forum will also have two vice presidents.
