Estonia will offer the Republic of Moldova 100,000 vaccine doses against the novel coronavirus, Minister of Foreign Affairs Aureliu Ciocoi was informed in a telephone discussion with his Estonian counterpart Eva-Maria Liimets, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, in the discussion the two ministers conferred on topical issues from the bilateral Moldovan-Estonian relations, noting the positive dynamics of the high-level political dialogue and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Aureliu Ciocoi thanked the Government of Estonia for the valuable assistance offered to the Republic of Moldova in promoting the European reform agenda and also for the fact that it kept the Republic of Moldova among its priorities of international cooperation for development. The Moldovan-Estonian cooperation contributed to implementing over 250 projects in the socioeconomic sphere in different districts of the Republic of Moldova.
For her part, Eva-Maria Liimets encouraged the Moldovan authorities to continue the structural reforms, especially as regards the strengthening of the rule of law and fight against corruption. She reaffirmed the readiness to continue supporting the efforts made in this regard, including in the Transnistrian settlement process, by obeying the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
Aureliu Ciocoi reiterated the invitation addressed to his Estonian counterpart to pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova so as to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two states.
