Moldova will participate in the 16th edition of the international specialized exhibition “AGROBALT-2007”, which will take place between September 13 and 16 in Kaunas, Lithuania. The responsible structures for organizing the national stand are the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Agro-industrial Agency “Moldova-Wine” and the Embassy of Moldova in Lithuania. According to the Chamber of Commerce, the exhibition offers an opportunity for the participants to make contact with potential business partners and to establish new cooperation relations. The exhibition will display food products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, technologies and equipments for the production, packing and storing of food/drink products. There will also be organized seminars and conferences on the following topics: animal breeding, cultivating and processing agricultural products, fish farming, egg farming and other similar workshops. The “AGROBALT” exhibition is included in Moldova’s Program of participation in international exhibitions for the year 2007, approved by the government in October 2006. Concerning Moldova’s participation at the exhibition, a Forum of Moldovan - Lithuanian business will be organized, which aims at presenting the agro-industrial capacities of Moldova and its national companies. At the last edition about 400 participants from 21 countries displayed their production, while the number of visitors reached about 30 thousand people.
