The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has instructed the Embassy in Russia to work on weekends in response to an increase in the number of applications for travel documents at its consular section.

“All Moldovan citizens seeking travel documents are advised to contact the Embassy. The authorities are also considering the possibility of redistributing the diplomatic staff for consular activities in case the increased demand from the citizens of our country is maintained”, says the Ministry.

A travel document may be used only once to return to Moldova if the applicant’s passport has expired, has been lost or got stolen.
