Moldovan cultural organizations to establish relationships with EU partners
Sixty EU cultural organizations will pay fact-finding visits to Moldova and Ukraine to identify potential partners. Afterward, there will be established 25 partnerships, seven of which in Moldova. The participants will be involved in a series of experience exchange and mobility activities.
The activities form part of the cultural program TANDEM that was launched by Soros Foundation Moldova in partnership with the Amsterdam-based European Cultural Foundation, MitOst of Berlin, the Cultural Action Europe of Brussels, and the Center for Cultural Management of Lvov.
According to a communique from Soros Foundation Moldova, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, the goal is to establish new networks and partnerships of professionals working in culture. “Art is a dynamic process where they experiment continuously. Through the TANDEM initiative, the cultural organizations of Moldova will be able to exchange experience with colleagues from other countries,” said Victoria Miron, director of the Cultural Policies program of Soros Foundation Moldova.
The artistic works that will be created 'in tandems' will be presented as part of the Festival of European Art and Culture in Moldova that will take place next May. The interested organizations can access the website www.soros.md. The deadline for submissions is February 15. The project is implemented with financial support from the European Commission and the German foundation Robert Bosch Stiftung.
