Moldovan companies at jubilee interstate exhibition in Moscow

Thirty-five Moldovan businesses announced their participation in the Moscow jubilee intestate exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar. The event will take place at an exhibitions center in the Russian capital between June 28 and July 3. It will involve companies from the CIS member states and international corporations. Valeriu Lazar said a part of the costs incurred by the Moldovan companies will be covered by the state. A sum of 3 million lei will be allocated from the Export Promotion Fund. There will be exhibited different products and services, mainly innovative. The Chamber of Trade and Industry of Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Economy will stage a conference of the series “Moldova Presents”. There will be also mounted events to taste Moldovan wines and dishes, which will be accompanied by cultural programs. Valeriu Lazar was empowered by the Government to sign an agreement to rent an exhibition pavilion that is 2,700 square meters in area and occupies a plot of 1,600 square meters for a 50-year-period. The rent will be 1 Russian ruble a year. About US$20 million is needed to renovate and outfit the pavilion. Valeriu Lazar said this project that is important for the promotion of the Moldovan products in the CIS will be implemented under a public-private partnership.
