As of January 1 this year, the price of a Schengen visa is of EUR 60, except for certain countries. Moldova is ranging among these exceptions and its citizens will pay the old price set at EUR 35.
The price of EUR 35 for the Schengen visa remains valid according to certain agreements of the European Union concluded with a series of European countries, such as Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova and Albania.
According to an EC’s decision approved in June, children under the age of 6, pupils and students, post-graduate students, researchers and certain university professors, are not charged.
