A new Portuguese Law on migration offers the citizens from the countries outside the European Union the possibility to register at the Employment Office in Portugal. The Law offers the workforce from abroad the possibility to register online at the Employment Office, according to specified criteria set forth by the Portuguese Institute for Employment and Professional Formation. Portuguese employers will get in touch with the selected foreign workers and will initiate the procedure for obtaining a work visa and permit for them. Registering criteria will be placed (in Portuguese) on the Institute’s website www.netemprego.com.
