Moldovan citizen hurt in road accident in Romania

A Moldovan man was taken to the hospital with a SMURD helicopter after the car he was driving collided head-on with another car driven by a citizen of Ukraine who allegedly fell asleep. The accident that resulted in seven persons hurt occurred near Drânceni commune in Vaslui County of Romania on February 4, IPN reports.

The press in Romania reported that a red emergency response plan was activated at county level. Seven firefighting vehicles and an extrication vehicle were at the science immediately. One of the victims was unconscious and was blocked. This was transported to a clinic in Iasi by a SMURD helicopter.

Another person who was seriously injured was rushed to the hospital in Huși by a SMURD mobile intensive care ambulance. The other five victims were given first aid on the spot and were also taken to the hospital in Huși.

The accident happened 8 km from the Albița customs post and 1 km from the border with Iasi County.
