Moldovan canoeists to compete in final of U23 World Championship

The pair Oleg Nuta - Ilie Sprincean has qualified for the final of the Canoe Sprint U23 World Championship that is hosted by Romanian’s Pitesti, IPN reports.

The two ranked third in the second series in the 1,000 meter race with the time of 03:39.040, being outstripped by Ukraine’s Yurii Vandiuk - Andrii Rybachok (03:38.884) and Spain’s Mohssine Moutahir - Gonzalo Martin (03:39.032).

The final will take place at midday on July 29. On July 28, Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprincean will compete in the 500 meter race.

Maria Olarasu qualified for the final of the 500 meter women’s single. She will also compete in the doubles alongside Daniela Cociu. Ilie Oprea will compete in 200 meter and 1,000 meter races.
