Since earlier this year, 10 Moldovans have called for air-taxis – flights on demand. According to the manager of the renting company “Loran”, Inga Rusu, the Moldovan businesspeople use more and more the rapid flights by helicopter, instead of expensive cars. “When they want to reach a place in the shortest time possible, they call for a helicopter, a service launched recently by the only company of this kind in Moldova,” Inga Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo. They use a MI-2 helicopter having 7 seats passengers and one for the pilot, who is employed by the company. As rule the helicopters take off outside Chisinau, near Botanica district. The reservations are made a week before as a rule, as the most devoted clients are businesspeople and tourists. One hour of flight by the helicopter is 800 euros, as the clients pay 20 euros for the waiting hours. The helicopters are popular for rapidly solving business matters, and for leisure, as one can watch beautiful landscapes from above, Rusu said.
